The redevelopment of the iconic Calamvale Hotel in Calamvale, Queensland Australia was designed by Craig Chandler Architecture and Interior Design.
The large redevelopment sort for materials with urban design and elegant finishes. Spacemaile in colour Water Clear was selected and has been used as large lighting design features that draw the eye and create impact to the interior. In the foyer area, Spacemaile has been hung from the ceiling from circular metal frames and drops down and reflects the vibrancy of the ceiling lighting. The Spacemaile has been laid out in different sized circular shapes with flowing lines.
The main feature is also surrounded by a shorter perimeter in Spacemaile colour Copper to define the seating area below. Part of the Spacemaile feature can also be seen from the second level in the open plan design, creating a beautiful art like feature to look at as visitors walk by. Spacemaile also continues into the function area with a row of smaller Spacemaile designs that have been placed around light sources to create elegant chandelier-like features that create elegance in a room where weddings and corporate events take place.
